Tokyo: Best Parks and Light-Up Events for Autumn Colors
Tokyo offers stunning foliage views from late November through early December. Meiji Jingu Gaien’s Ginkgo Avenue, known as Icho Namiki, is a must-visit spot for its iconic ginkgo trees that turn golden. This area features an autumn light-up event, from November 23 to December 1 from around 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day, creating a golden glow that adds magic to the evening ambiance.
Other recommended locations are Shinjuku Gyoen and Rikugien Garden. Shinjuku Gyoen provides a spacious landscape with maple trees and gingko leaves, while Rikugien Garden hosts a popular light-up event each autumn, where you can stroll through beautifully lit trees and ponds.
