Kitaya Shōten made a tenugui by collecting and combining many traditional patterns that have been handed down from long ago.
This tenugui can be enjoyed in a wide range of ways, regardless of age, gender, or occasion.
It is a masterpiece that luxuriously uses the traditional fabric “Enshu cotton pongee”, which has been preserved since the Edo period in the Enshu region centered on Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The stripes of the original fabric and the dyeing technique overlap, creating an interesting finish that changes the atmosphere.

It has long been loved not only for household plumbing, but also for commercial use recognized by professionals. The secret to its popularity is its exquisite size that anyone can easily grasp. Approximately 8cm x 5cm x 14cm (3in x 2in x 5.5in) Material: palm (palm fiber), wire Country of Origin: Japan (fibers from Sri Lanka) “Original Kamenoko Tawashi”, which has been loved for over 100 years, is characterized by the “definite difference in fiber thickness and density” that uses carefully selected palm (coconut fiber) generously.
