Kamenoko 亀の子束子3号 The reason why Kame no ko tawashi have been loved for many years is the reliable quality that generously uses carefully selected coconut fiber. It has long been loved not only for household plumbing, but also for commercial use recognized by professionals. The secret to its popularity is its exquisite size that anyone can easily grasp. Approximately 8cm x 5cm x 14cm (3in x 2in x 5.5in) Material: palm (palm fiber), wire Country of Origin: Japan (fibers from Sri Lanka) “Original Kamenoko Tawashi”, which has been loved for over 100 years, is characterized by the “definite difference in fiber thickness and density” that uses carefully selected palm (coconut fiber) generously. The small model, which was developed with consideration for a size that is easy to use even for people with small hands, has maintained its shape since its founding. The fiber is firmly set up by the technique of stringing, and even now you can feel the durability that "Kamenoko lives three times as long as others”. Coconut fiber, which has moderate hardness, is good at cleaning by "scraping and rubbing" with the head of the fiber. Please note the following when using. ・Please wash with water before use. ・Do not use on objects that are easily scratched. ・After use, rinse well and dry in the sun. ・There are differences in color due to natural fibers, but there is no change in quality.
Kitaya Shōten 吉鳥唐草 鳥 古典柄 The arabesque pattern is a classic auspicious pattern that has the meaning of "prosperity" and "longevity" because it has a strong vitality and the vine grows without breaking. By making the motif larger than usual to give the presence of arabesque, and adding a cute bird motif to it, it is presented in a modern way without becoming a heavy classic pattern. It was made from this thought. But after all, the color is the traditional arabesque color! Kitaya Shōten 子持ち紅葉 楓 小紋 If you look closely, you can see that the pattern of autumn leaves and maple is expressed in fine dots like in Edo Komon, and the pattern of polka dots is further layered and dyed. Only there where no anti-dye glue was used, the polka dots appear. What a luxurious tenugui that is! I think this is a wonderful way to use the traditional Komon in a modern setting. It's hard to see in the photo because of the lighting, but the fine pattern is light blue, and the polka dots are dark blue. Approximately 34cm x 90cm (13,3in x 35,4in) Sōri (総理) fabric used (it's a fabric with a rough texture) 100% cotton ※ product is hand-dyed and made of natural materials. Kitaya Shōten 幾何学あそび Kitaya Shōten made a tenugui by collecting and combining many traditional patterns that have been handed down from long ago. This tenugui can be enjoyed in a wide range of ways, regardless of age, gender, or occasion. It is a masterpiece that luxuriously uses the traditional fabric "Enshu cotton pongee", which has been preserved since the Edo period in the Enshu region centered on Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Rienzome by Todaya Shōten 雲井染 It is a pattern made by folding the fabric many times in a wooden box, tying it tightly with a rope, and applying the dye evenly over it. If the space between the folds is too wide or too tight, the dye will not be uniform, so many years of experience and skill are required.
